It was 2007 and dad and drummer, Dan, was chasing a product to protect his daughter’s ears during gigs or practise at home. After being unable to find anything suitable and small enough, Dan designed and launched the first folding, KIDS earmuff design, with the ‘Ems for Kids’ name after his daughter – Emily, affectionately known as ‘Em’.
Two years later in 2009, Dan designed and patented the original BABY earmuff with a unique pressure-reducing headband design, safe for newborns. Dan’s second child Lucy was also born.
Since then, the Ems for Kids range has expanded to include volume limited AUDIO headphones and Active Noise Cancelling headphones for kids. The Gibney family also expanded with the birth of their third child, Isaac.
Ems for Kids products are proudly designed in Australia, shipped from Brisbane daily and are now readily available online and distributed worldwide.
